Don't be fooled by the rating here, really count on 2.5*. This is not the first time in Protaras, before this unpleasant incident I was in Sunrise and Silver Sand, and I compare it with them, although comparison is not possible. It doesn’t qualify for 4*, in any way, but it doesn’t even qualify for 3*. The advantages are a new hotel, linen and towels without holes and relatively white, sometimes with stains, comfortable and wide mattresses. This dignity is temporary. We had room 306 with a side view of the sea (we paid extra on top of the standard price), in fact there was a window for 2 discos and the central entrance to the hotel, where every night from 1 to 4 several very noisy, rattling buses loaded a biblioglobus and a garbage truck loaded with empty bottles . The girl at the reception pretended to be very surprised and said that she had heard about this problem for the first time, but she was not actually going to do anything about it. Come again tomorrow at 9, another shift will send you)) It’s better to take the standard one, I think you’ll get a view of the water park, which is closed at night. There is insufficient lighting in the room. There is no service, the cleaning is poor, a full set of towels (in 4* Anastasia - and that’s 2 pieces per person!) were seen in the room only at the entrance, the bed linen was not changed even once in a week, they laid a duvet cover with a stain from a cup of tea, so it before leaving and was with us. She left the long black hair of the previous guest under the console opposite the bed, he did not move from his place. One day I returned to the room, and there was a wet, dirty towel in the sink, very cute)) Sloppy, untidy waiters, one of the waiters had a conflict with the guests, and even started a fight himself in response to a guest’s remark about the inappropriateness of his actions. Drinks are only on tap and unsuitable for consumption, dishes with food residues and traces of detergent, dirty cutlery and always dirty tables and chairs in the outdoor breakfast area. Throughout the entire vacation, my husband and I alternately had “serious digestive problems” from the local feeding, which is very unpleasant and confuses all vacation plans, at a minimum. The child was spared this fate, since due to his selectivity, he did not eat anything from the offered assortment except boiled macaroni and cheese and bananas. The children's table directly reflects the quality of food in the hotel - it is always French fries and semi-finished products: sausages fried to black coals/fish fingers/chicken nuggets. There are almost no fruits; vegetables include cucumbers, tomatoes, dirty lettuce leaves. Take without meals, if possible, there is a good Blue spice restaurant nearby with reasonable prices. The beach is a small muddy puddle, a crowd of people, a film of sunscreen on the water and children's poop in places. As a result, we regretted that we did not pay a few extra rubles for the same Silver sand, for example. If you have the opportunity, go to it, it’s a completely different level, and the excellent sea is just steps away without the need to rent sun loungers or 20 minute walks in the heat. Despite some shabbyness and 3*, it left a much more pleasant impression.

Everything is dirty: the reception desk is covered in dust; in the room there are dirty curtains, walls, tiles in the bathroom, doors with stains, furniture, gray sheets, a crib; in the restaurant where breakfast is served, dirty chairs, tablecloths, places for serving food, dishes (especially forks), containers for collecting garbage on tables; in the halls there is dirty carpet with small garbage, bags of garbage, the elevator is dirty, there is hair on the side of the pool. 2. The quality of breakfast food is disgusting. The quality of lunch dishes corresponds to the level of fast food in Russian cities. 5. The water in the pool smells strongly of chlorine. In the sea, at knee-deep depths, sharp stones begin to appear. On the beach there are almost black stones, insects such as woodlice are found in them. The appearance of the room also does not correspond to the photographs, while the furniture is the same, but only old and dirty. The bed below had a torn bottom, there were signs of flooding with peeling paint on the ceiling, and the curtains were torn from the curtain rod. 7. During breakfast, water spilled out of the juice machine; it was wiped up with beach towels, which were then left on the floor to prevent further water from spreading. 8. Our trip consisted of two parts: 7 days in Protaras and 4 days in Ayia Napa. Perhaps due to age, we liked Protaras much more. The variety of nearby beaches and reasonable prices played a decisive role. In Protaras, wherever you go along the embankment, everywhere is beautiful and calm in its own way. The sea is very beautiful, regardless of whether it is a sandy beach or rocks. Ayia Napa reminded us of Anapa, there was nowhere to go for a walk, the sea was knee-deep, and on the beaches everyone was in each other’s heads, and this was at the end of the Maya... We liked the Anastasia Hotel after the fact, as they say, everything is learned by comparison. At first we were embarrassed by the fact that the room's balcony overlooked the roadway, and we took the cheapest room, and we were bothered by the roar of the tourist buses that brought tourists in the morning or late at night. On the other hand, there was excellent sound insulation when the door was closed. I especially want to note the incredible sensitivity of the air conditioner, it responded to every degree, and set the temperature according to the time of day and mood. Believe me, this is not always the case in the best hotels in Europe. An equally important point is that the sockets worked without a room card and it was possible to charge phones not only when present in the room. The staff is extremely responsive! The circumstances so happened that my husband and I flew on different flights, me in the morning, and he in the evening. My husband called that he was late for dinner and I asked to take some food to the room. They brought me salads, meat with side dishes, and fruits at no extra charge. By the way, as for the food, I can’t help but write that the food was very plentiful, tasty and always varied. The breakfasts were such that before dinner there was no thought of going for a snack. And of course ice cream... strawberry popsicle in white chocolate for free.... like a child, I couldn’t tear myself away)). And in Ayia Napa, in a restaurant for a lot of money, I ordered the famous Kleftiko (lamb stew), so I cried, remembering how delicious this dish was prepared in Anastasia and how poorly it was in a street restaurant. Room cleaning. It was so dusty that I had to wipe the surfaces with wet wipes before putting things away. The balcony was dirty. There are candy wrappers and pieces of paper lying around in the corridors. The day before our departure, a group of Austrian pensioners stopped by. By the time they arrived, everything had been cleaned and continued to be washed. It was a shame that such conditions were not organized for us.

Very welcoming and friendly staff throughout the hotel, I would especially like to mention the waiters in the restaurant. Delicious, varied food. Breakfasts were mostly traditional, and there was even multigrain porridge. Soft fresh croissants. Delicious cookies. The dinners are great. There was always something new and varied food. I really liked the ice cream. The rooms are cozy, the beds are soft. We booked 2 rooms and were very glad that we were given rooms next door. There was a side view of the sea. Amazing! Linen was changed every 3 days. Towels every day. It's great that there is free parking. Wi-fi 24€/week worked great.
