Transportation and other services provided by the carrier are subject to the terms and conditions of carriage, which are incorporated herein by reference. These conditions can be obtained from the issuing carrier or the carrier named on the ticket. Passengers whose carriage has a final destination or stopover in a country other than the country of departure are advised that the entire carriage, including any part thereof located within the territory of a country, may be subject to the provisions of international agreements known as the Montreal Convention or its predecessor, the Warsaw Convention. convention, including amendments to it (Warsaw system). For such passengers, the applicable agreement (including special conditions of carriage resulting from applicable tariffs) governs and may limit the liability of the carrier. More detailed information can be obtained from the carrier.

Travelers who fly more or less frequently with the largest Russian airline are able to instantly decipher air ticket data without spending much effort. For them, booking data, time and date of departure, comfort class and its cost are in specially designated columns, the location of which is well known.

People who rarely use the services of air carriers usually get lost in a large number of numbers, not understanding where the information about a particular flight and its price is indicated. In fact, the problem has a fairly simple solution; you only need to spend a little time once, studying the flight rules for one class or another and correlating the information received with the air ticket data.

You can purchase a plane ticket in various ways: buy a paper version at ticket offices, book and pay on the official website of the air carrier or through search engines optimized for selecting the desired flights of all airlines. In any case, you should first study the terms of the tariff, which outline the actions that the passenger and the air carrier have the right to take.

The rules of any airline always describe in detail the procedures for purchasing, booking, checking in for a flight, boarding a plane, exchanging and returning tickets of all comfort classes. It is recommended that you read the information, since most clients purchase budget air tickets. The disadvantage of such flights is that the range of possibilities provided to the passenger is significantly narrowed, so the low price of the flight is not always justified - in an unforeseen situation, you can simply lose all the money paid to the airline.

At the same time, it is not necessary to buy seats exclusively in business class, but if possible, it is better to ignore the cheapest plane tickets. Aeroflot airline has the following tariff schedule:

1. Division of classes in the “economy” group:

  • promo;
  • budget;
  • optimum;
  • status.

2. Business class is divided into:

  • optimum;
  • status.

All classes are individually designated using letters. Among them, there are several categories that are in greater demand than others.

The most budget fare available at Aeroflot airline is suitable, for example. The cost of air tickets is as low and affordable as possible, however, the passenger cannot choose almost any conditions other than the destination. Even the departure and return dates are selected from those proposed by the air carrier. As a rule, such flights are scheduled for the least profitable days and months. The date of the return flight is necessarily fixed, usually falling on Sundays.

The tariff applies to international flights. Flights within Russia have slightly different conditions. A passenger can only stay in the city of arrival for a month. Aeroflot airlines have long introduced a cumulative system of bonus miles. Having flown a certain number of hundreds of miles, the client has the right to demand a free flight or a significant reduction in the price of the air ticket. The website lists flights and bonus miles that are different for all classes. The “economy-promo” group allows you to accrue 25% of the total length of the route.

Flights at this fare are only direct; it is impossible to buy flights with transfers to explore other cities and countries. The option of changing the comfort class to a higher one does not work here either - the client will not be able to pay for the service either with miles or real money. You can return your ticket, but subject to the following conditions:

  • Cancellation of a flight 24 hours or more in advance will result in a fine of 25 euros.
  • It is possible to return a plane ticket in less than 24 hours only by paying a commission in the amount of 25% of the full price of the ticket and the same service fee of 25 euros.
  • A ticket cannot be refunded immediately before departure.
  • For domestic flights, it is possible to change several flight criteria by paying a fine of 2 to 4 thousand rubles. Changing the conditions of an international flight will cost the client approximately 100 euros. Air tickets for children under two years old with arrival points located in other countries will cost only 10% of the full fare. Older children fly at full price. If a flight with a child aged 0-2 years takes place within the Russian Federation, then the child is entitled to a free flight. For a child under 12 years old, you will have to buy a flight ticket, but at 75% of the price.

The largest number of tickets for Aeroflot airliners are sold at this tariff. The high demand is explained by the optimal ratio of price and the range of services offered. With a relatively low cost of the flight, the service package is more extensive compared to the most budget fare. The return departure date is also fixed, and the choice of dates is limited, but the passenger is not limited by the month of stay in the country or city - the return date can be delayed by six months.

It will also be much faster to accumulate miles with this tariff, because the increase percentage will be 150%. The flight can be made with connections in other localities, no matter whether they are in Russia or abroad. The comfort class can be upgraded to a higher one, for example, based on accumulated miles, however, you must first check the conditions for a particular flight, as they vary. The conditions for canceling a flight are quite lenient:

  • When returning an air ticket one day or more in advance, the passenger will pay a service fee of 25 euros for foreign flights and 900 rubles for domestic flights.
  • If there are less than 24 hours left before departure, only a quarter of the cost of the air ticket will be deducted without a service fee.
  • Once check-in is completed and boarding is announced, the ticket cannot be refunded.
  • Exchanging a ticket for flights will require an additional payment of 50 euros; a fine of 100 euros applies only to flights to the United States of America. The benefits and travel conditions for children aged 0-2 years are similar to the previous fare discussed, with one caveat: a child over 2 years old flying without an adult accompanying person will not receive discounts, and the flight will cost the same as for adults.

The most expensive of all Aeroflot airline fares, which is preferred by wealthy citizens whose income allows them to spend decent amounts on air tickets. Of course, the package of services provided for VIP passengers includes all possible conditions, including an indefinite return flight date. The percentage of bonus miles reaches 200.

Staying in the city of arrival is allowed for up to 12 months, and you can get there directly or in transit with any transfer options. If a flight is cancelled, the full cost of the ticket will be refunded without penalties or fees, including change at the time of check-in or boarding. You can also freely change your air ticket to a more suitable date and time.

When flying abroad, a child under 2 years old is provided with an air ticket for 10% of the full price and is entitled to a free flight within Russia. After 2 years, accompanying adults have the right to buy a plane ticket for a child at half the cost.

It should be noted that an economy class flight in the “status” category has almost complete coincidence on the above points. The passenger can choose the date of return himself, already at the point of arrival, where he has the right to spend 12 months. Bonus miles will be awarded at the rate of 200% of the number of miles traveled on the flight.

Returns and exchanges of air tickets are also free, up to cancellation of the flight before boarding. The difference will be in the comfort of the seat and a narrower selection of the menu offered during the flight.

Aeroflot: 90 years at the top

The general rules are printed on the outside of the ticket. On the inside there are specific flight details.

1 Passenger name (NAME OF PASSENGER). Indicated only in Latin transcription (as in a foreign passport). The surname is followed (through a slash - slash "/") by the first letter of the name or the full name and, possibly, the title (MR - Mr., MRS - Miss, MSS - Mrs.). According to international standards, up to 3 mistakes are allowed in a name without distorting the sound.

2 Stopover (X/O). If at this point there is a stopover along the route for more than 24 hours ("stopover"), then this field is empty or "O". If this point is a transit point, then opposite this point there is an “X”.

3 Flight route (FROM/TO). The point of departure for this flight coupon is indicated (in English writing). Below is the arrival point. If there are several airports in a given city, the name is followed by a three-letter airport code.
A list of airport codes for all countries can be downloaded on the AS-travel website.

The word VOID (English space, empty space) can fill empty fields and lines in the form.

4 Carrier (CARRIER). Two-letter airline carrier code in the IATA (International Air Transport Association) system
A list of airline codes can be downloaded from the AS-travel website. Attention! Large file size!

5 Flight number (FLIGHT)

6 Booking class (CLASS). Latin letter encoding the class of seats on the plane:
F, P, A - first class
J, C, D, I, Z - business class
W, S, Y, B, H, K, L, M, N, Q, T, V, X - economy class
R - "supersonic" class

7 departure date (DATE)

8 Departure time (TIME). The local time of the departure point is always indicated.

9 Booking status (STATUS). Typically, a ticket is issued with a confirmed status - "OK". For some fares, it is possible to issue tickets with the status "RQ" (request for a seat at check-in). The ticket for infants (up to 2 years old) flying without a seat indicates the status "NS".

10 Tariff type (FARE BASIS). Alphanumeric designation of the tariff for this coupon.

11 Endorsement/restrictions (ENDORSEMENTS/RESTRICTIONS). Various restrictions on transportation on this air ticket are indicated, as well as the possibility of “transfer” ( endorsement) passenger to another carrier.
For example, if the column says “SU/KL ONLY”, this means that this ticket is valid on flights of Aeroflot (SU) and KLM (KL) and, if the fare conditions allow changes to the ticket, then even to an already issued ticket, You can "change" from one company to another. If the fare at which the ticket was issued allows any changes, then this possibility should be reflected in this column. For example, "RES CHG USD50" or "ONE INBOUND REB FREE" means: " CHANGING YOUR RESERVATION WITH A FINE OF $50" or " ONE CHANGE OF THE REVERSE DATE FOR FREE". Usually, for the most preferential ("hard") tariffs, the following template is common: " XX ONLY/NON REF/NO CHG/NO REROUT" - "THE TICKET IS ONLY VALID ON THE CARRIER XX / THE TICKET IS NON-REFUNDABLE/CHANGES OF DATES ON THE TICKET ARE IMPOSSIBLE/CHANGES OF THE ROUTE PROHIBITED". This column can also display service information.

12 Additional air ticket (CONJUNCTION TICKETS). If the ticket route includes more flights than the number of flight coupons in the form, then such an air ticket is issued on several forms and the additional ticket number is indicated in this field. It should be borne in mind that these several forms represent one ticket, and even if you have completely flown the route using one of them, under no circumstances throw it away until the end of the entire trip.

13 Origin/destination (ORIGIN/DESTINATION). A three-letter designation of the departure point and through a slash - a slash "/" - the arrival point along the entire route.

14 Issued in exchange for (ISSUED IN EXCHANGE FOR). If an air ticket is issued in exchange for another, then the number of the original ticket is entered in this column.

15 Rate (FARE). Tariff in the currency of the start of transportation.
For example, if an air ticket is issued on the route London - Moscow, then the fare will be indicated in pounds (GBP). Countries with soft currencies have tariffs published in US dollars.

16 Equivalent fare paid (EQUIV/FARE PD). The equivalent of the fare in the currency of the check-out point (if the currency of the check-out point differs from the currency of the point of origin of transportation).

17 Total (TOTAL). The full cost of the air ticket (fare plus airport taxes) in the currency of the point where the ticket was issued.

18 Tariff calculation (FARE CALCULATION). Detailed fare calculation for the entire air ticket. The calculation consists of three-letter city codes, two-character carrier codes, and tariff components in neutral units of calculation (NUC). The combined tax (airport taxes) is also deciphered here.

19 Form of payment (FORM OF PAYMENT). The form in which the ticket was paid for. The most common: CASH - cash, INVOICE or INV - non-cash payment, CC - credit card.

Any experienced traveler needs just one glance at his ticket to get comprehensive information about the flight, booking, prices and rules that apply to a particular class. However, if you do not travel very often, the abundance of tariffs can scare you and make you panic. And this is definitely not worth doing. It’s better to understand once and for all the possible classes and their rules and prices. Deciphering Aeroflot tariffs is not such a difficult task if you know the algorithm.

Please note that it does not matter where you buy your ticket (at the box office, on the website or on the agent’s resource), the main thing here is to familiarize yourself with the fare rules. They assert your rights and the rights of the carrier. They usually cover not only seat comfort, but also regulations regarding return, boarding, and so on. All this is very important if you need to exchange or return tickets. Cheap services are not the most correct selection criterion. It is worth understanding that the low price is due to only one thing - a huge number of restrictions. The cheaper the ticket, the more there are and the more inconvenient it will be in critical situations. Currently there are the following tariff classes:

  1. Promo-economy.
  2. Budget-economy.
  3. Optimum-economy.
  4. Economy status
  5. Optimum business.
  6. Status business.

For each of them, a letter encoding is also used. It’s worth taking a closer look at the most popular classes.

Promo-economy is considered the simplest and cheapest fare from Aeroflot. But there are a large number of restrictions and prohibitions. It’s difficult to call it convenient. Aeroflot calls this booking class suitable for students and budget tourists. An open return flight date is, of course, prohibited here. It is also worth knowing that the date of the return flight here, in principle, cannot be any. You need to be at your destination before the next Sunday, otherwise you simply won’t be able to fly at this fare.

However, if the flight is carried out between Russian cities, then these rules do not apply. You can stay at your destination for no more than a month for any country and city.
Aeroflot has its own bonus system. When there are enough of them, you can get a significant discount or even a free ticket. Each flight and class has its own amount. In the case of the economy promo, this is 25% miles.

Transit conditions and transfers are prohibited in this tariff, so you won’t be able to see any country along the way. It is also not allowed to upgrade your service class upon boarding.
The following return conditions apply:

  • refund of the ticket if there is more than a day left before departure - with a fee of 25 euros;
  • less than 24 hours – a fine of 25% of the ticket price and a total fee of 25 euros;
  • You cannot return your ticket right before departure.

If you are flying within Russia, you can change some flight conditions with a fine of 2000-4000 rubles, but for flights abroad it is 100 euros. For children under 2 years old, it provides a 90% discount (in Russia, flights are generally free), but if the child is over two years old, then there are no discounts at all. The exception is Russian flights within the country for children aged 2 to 12 years, then a 25% discount is given.

Economy class optimum Aeroflot: what is it?

This tariff is quite popular because, on the one hand, it is inexpensive, and on the other, there are much fewer restrictions here. Aeroflot sells this economy fare most often. Here, as in the previous case, an open departure date in the opposite direction is not allowed. However, there are no restrictions on the minimum period of stay at the destination. You can stay in the country for a maximum of six months.

The bonus miles here are a solid 150%. Transit transfers are also allowed here. You can upgrade your service class, but each flight has its own surcharge system. In case of return, the following rules apply:

  • more than a day - a fee of 25 euros, for Russian destinations - 900 rubles;
  • less than 24 hours – 25% of the total amount;
  • when landing - prohibited.

You can change flight conditions by paying a fine of 50 euros. But if you fly to America, the amount will be 100 euros. For children under 2 years old, the same discounts apply as in the case of the previous tariffs, but if a child over 2 years old travels alone, unaccompanied, then he is given 0%, and with adults - 25%.

Business status: what are the conditions for this tariff?

There are classes of Aeroflot tickets that are reserved for more presentable clients who are willing to pay many times more for a flight. But such tariffs also have many advantages. An open return flight date is allowed here. Bonus miles are 200%.

You can stay at your destination for up to a year; there is no minimum period. Transit transfers are also allowed. The rules for returning tickets are as follows:

  • more than 24 hours in advance - full refund, without any fines or surcharges;
  • in less than a day - also a full refund;
  • upon registration - full refund.

You can change flight conditions without additional payment. Children under 2 years old travel with a 90% discount (free in Russia). From two years of age a 50% discount is provided for accompanying adults.
It is noteworthy that similar conditions are provided within the economy status tariff. Almost all conditions are duplicated here, including an open return date, a year of stay at the destination and 200% bonus miles.

The return conditions are also duplicated here. There is no need to pay extra for any types of returned tickets, even if you decide to cancel the flight right before departure. What is changing here? In fact, only the quality of service on the flight, the convenience of the seat, the serving of drinks and food.

In contact with

At the same time, passengers of the same class, regardless of the type of fare, receive exactly the same set of services and can take any seat in the premium or economy class cabin. So what do those G, K, L, O, Q, S, T, U, V, W, X on the ticket mean?

What is an air ticket fare and what are the different air ticket fares?

This is a fee charged by an airline for providing a specific set of air travel services. Fares depend on classes of service, flight routes, may have discounts, and depend on the time spent at the destination.

Economy class air ticket fares differ in terms of ticket return and exchange, ticket validity, and the size of the discount for children. The conditions for applying the fare determine the amount of the fine for returning a ticket, the possibility of making changes to the route, for example, changing the name of the passenger or the date of departure, and the specifics of calculations when changing different sections of the route.

The International Air Transport Association IATA regulates tariffs and the rules for their application in the field of international transport: basic tariffs, independent of the airline, are established by IATA conferences. In addition, approval from IATA is required when developing so-called “ published tariffs", information about which is entered into booking systems and directories. Such tariffs take into account the commercial interests of all airlines operating in this direction.

The air carrier may have " confidential» fares that are a trade secret - as a rule, these are direct flights within a specific airline.

Confidential fares differ from published ones in that they are not available in booking systems and tickets for them are sold by the airline itself or its trusted agents. The pricing of this type of fare is determined by competition between carrier companies: for passengers, such fares are usually cheaper, but have a number of conditions and restrictions.

Airfare groups

Based on the conditions of application, tariffs are divided into two groups:

  • Normal or full - tariffs with no restrictions. This type of tariff has flexible terms of booking, registration and payment. Tickets purchased at full fare have a number of privileges: during the validity period of the ticket you can change the route and date of departure, there are no restrictions on the length of stay and the availability of a return ticket, such tickets can usually be exchanged or returned without any penalties. When returning an air ticket, only a service fee will be charged. Full fares cover first class, business class and annual economy class fares. As a rule, these are first class (denoted “F”), business (“C”) and economy class (“Y”) fares. High class of service has a corresponding impact on cost
  • Special rates– tariffs that are used by airlines as a tool to attract customers. Most travelers use these rates because of their affordability. The use of discounts does not lead to a deterioration in service, however, the low price imposes some restrictions on the passenger. For example, short validity periods of an air ticket, the impossibility of changing the departure date, partial refund of an unused ticket.

Types of special rates

  • Excursion rates“EE” – fares that have a minimum and maximum time spent at the destination. The maximum period can range from 1 to 6 months, and the minimum can range from the “first Sunday rule” (i.e. you must stay at your destination overnight from Saturday to Sunday) to a week. An air ticket issued at an excursion fare is almost always fully refundable and allows you to change the dates and route of travel. A ticket at this rate can also be purchased with an open date.
  • Special air fares- these are tariffs with the greatest number of restrictions, but with the lowest price. As a rule, this rate category is subject to the “first Sunday rule” and the maximum stay is up to one month. It is impossible to change the departure and arrival dates for tickets purchased at these fares, or you can, but with penalties. A refund of an air ticket purchased at a special fare is possible only in exceptional cases.
  • Youth tariff- for passengers under 24, 25 or 26 years of age (depending on the destination) at the start of the trip. Departure and arrival dates are fixed; some airlines allow booking tickets with an open date.
  • APEX tariff- travel dates are strictly fixed, rebooking and return with a fine are allowed. Tickets are issued simultaneously with the reservation, no later than 7, 14, 21 days before departure to Europe, or 10 days before departure to America.
  • Tariff PEX (PEX)- this fare is subject to a number of restrictions: booking and redemption of tickets occur simultaneously, flights are carried out on certain days of the week. Typically, flights have a limited number of seats sold at PEX fares. This fare has strict conditions for return and application of penalties in case of non-use of tickets.
  • SUPER SAVER tariff- the cheapest group of fares that have additional restrictions: deadlines for purchasing an air ticket at this fare are often: 3 days in advance, 7 days in advance, 14 days in advance, 21 days in advance and vice versa - no earlier than 3 days, no earlier than 7 days and etc. These rates are not valid on certain days (BlackOut days).

This group of SUPER SAVER tariffs includes:

SUPER-PEX - air ticket can be used for up to 3 months. Changing the date of departure and arrival is not allowed; in addition, a minimum period of stay has been established. You can return your ticket one day before your flight.

SUPER-APEX - if you are late for a flight, money for your ticket will not be refunded.

PROMO - tariffs that are developed by each carrier independently and the conditions are very similar to the super-apex tariff, but as a rule, with even more stringent conditions.

  • Family airfare- also not applicable in all directions. A 50% discount is provided for the accompanying spouse and children aged 2 to 25 years. The air ticket is valid for one month.
  • Spouse rate- applies to flights to a limited number of countries. At this rate, one of the spouses is given a 50% discount. This air ticket is valid for one month.
  • Group rates- this group of tariffs is intended mainly for tourist groups. In this case, restrictions are imposed not only on the length of stay, but also on the number of people in the group (from 4 to 20 depending on the direction).
  • Pension tariff- not applicable on all routes and not by all airlines. This discount is valid for passengers who have reached 55-60 years of age (the exact age is determined by the airline) and, as a rule, is 25% - 30%.

Thus, the more significant the discount, the more restrictions the fare has; the more expensive the ticket, the more privileges the passenger has.

Airfare code

The presence of letters in the tariff code may indicate the following:

  • SS – this ticket fare has restrictions and requires early purchase of the ticket (3-14 days before the departure date)
  • ZZ – youth fare for air tickets (for youth under 24 years old)
  • CD – pension fare for air tickets (women over 55, men over 60)
  • OW – one-way airfare
  • RT – round-trip airfare
  • 1M – round-trip airfare, subject to return no later than 1 month
  • 3M – round-trip airfare, subject to return no later than 3 months later
  • Y – economy class airfare
  • W – premium economy airfare
  • C – business class air ticket prices\

Economy class airfare

Fares are indicated on tickets by letter codes. But the designation system and fare conditions differ depending on the airline. In general, three main economy class tariff groups can be distinguished:

Premium / Full Standard Promo
Tariff markingY, BM, H, NG, K, L, O, Q, S, T, U, V, W, X

In addition, some plans may have additional restrictions. Such as, for example, the ability to choose a seat in the cabin during check-in. And lastly, different amounts of bonus miles are awarded for different tariffs.
