Mysterious Darkmoon Faire held in World of Warcraft every month and every month, many players and ordinary inhabitants of Azeroth go to Darkmoon Island to have some fun. And there is plenty of fun to be had – the Fair’s guests will find fortune tellers, rides, mountains of delicious food, and a night full of laughter and fire. And don’t be afraid of the eyes blinking at you from the bushes - as long as you are under the protection of the Fair, they will not touch you. Maybe.

Where is Darkmoon Faire? How to get to the Darkmoon Faire in World of Warcraft

If you have never been to Darkmoon Island or have been to the Fair so long ago that your character has already grown moss, then in order to get there, you will need to find the Darkmoon Faire Fortune Teller in one of your faction's capitals (coordinates in Stormwind: 62 ,2; 73.0, in Orgrimmai: 48.0; The fortune teller will teleport you to the nearest portal to Darkmoon Island for a handful of silver coins. You can, however, independently go to the portal to the Island - one of them is located near Goldshire, one of the starting settlements in Elwynn Forest, while the second can be found next to Thunder Bluff, next to the southern lifts.

If you get to Darkmoon Island at a low level, then there will be striders nearby for you, on which you can quickly get to the fair.

Before you go to the Island, in any case, take the quest from the fortune teller - as a reward you will receive the Darkmoon Fair Handbook, which is necessary for some mini-games from the Fair.

Currency - Darkmoon Prize Coupons

As a reward for completing Darkmoon quests and winning mini-games, you receive Darkmoon Prize Coupons - for which you can buy several nice things, including a couple of mounts. You can receive coupons for completing tasks on Darkmoon Island, participating in mini-games, or defeating local bosses. Also on the black market, you can sometimes find a Darkmoon Faire Coupon Fanny Pack, which is rumored to contain a whole bunch of coupons - from 400 to 500 pieces. If you limit yourself to Darkmoon quests, then you can get 145 coupons per month, so you will have to visit the Fair every month to get all the items that interest you.

In addition to coupons, you will need Darkmoon Fair Tokens to participate in mini-games - such tokens are sold from Zina Mukhletsenniker, who stands near the entrance to the Fair, Trixie Mukhletsenniker, who stands next to the Darkmoon Arena, as well as from Suzz Moneygrab, who can be found in tent in the center of the Fair. Sometimes you also get tokens as a reward for completing profession quests, but they still aren't enough.

There are also fishing rewards that can be purchased with Darkmoon Sharps - they are caught in the waters of the Island, so all you need here is patience and a fishing rod.

Mini-games, tons of mini-games

The main activity at the Fair is mini-games, which have a wide variety. There are eight such games in total - among them there are both tests of accuracy and reaction speed, and racing - everyone will find something to their liking. In addition, by participating in mini-games, you earn coupons and reputation with the Fair, which is necessary for a rare achievement.

1. Gnollop

In this game you have to beat up gnolls that jump out of barrels. Three types of gnolls can jump out of nine barrels - a small one in a cap, hitting which will stun you for a few seconds, a regular gnoll for 1 point and a Crusher for 3 points. To hit the gnoll, simply run up to the barrel in time and press the highlighted hammer button. The game has a time limit and if you were unable to complete the daily task for 30 points in one go, just beat the gnolls again.

2. Darkmoon Cannon

In this game, your character will be shot from a cannon into the water at the other end of the Fair. There is a circle floating on the water, and you need to hit the character directly into it - to do this, you need to press the highlighted button in time. You'll even get an achievement for accurately hitting the center of the circle, so it makes sense to aim properly. When you get out of the water, you can teleport back by talking to the gnome fishing nearby.

3. Shooting gallery

Here you have to shoot at targets, gaining points - one for each correct shot and two if you hit the target highlighted with a green arrow. You just need to turn the character in time towards the targets and press the highlighted button. To complete the daily task of this mini-game, you need to score at least 25 points in 60 seconds, which are allotted for shooting.

4. Tank battles

Here, you are given control of a miniature tank, in which you need to cut through a small arena and fire at objects on it, for which you are given points. To hit the target, turn the tank in its direction and press the button that lights up. The most important targets in the arena are enemy tanks - they will also try to attack you. When you see a mark above your tank, turn on the acceleration and hide behind the wooden obstacles. Score as many points as possible before time runs out or your tank is destroyed and the daily mission will also count.

5. Ring throwing

Here you need to throw the rings so that they land on a stick tied to the turtle. The difficulty is that the turtle wanders around its enclosure and from time to time accelerates, rushing towards the sides. To hit the target, you need to guess the turtle's trajectory and not throw the rings when the turtle is accelerating. Also keep an eye on the hit indicator at the bottom of the screen - completing the daily quest depends on the number of correct hits.

6. Summon Firewing

In this mini-game you have to fly over the Fair, collecting fire rings - the more of these rings you manage to collect, the more points you get and the more progress you will make in obtaining achievements. From the very beginning of the flight, you can stay in the air for 10 seconds. and you need to fly through the ring of fire to get a few more seconds of flight - it’s best to immediately map out your route so as not to end up in the middle of the empty sky with 3 seconds. fiery wings.

7. Cool Race and Big Cool Race

There are a whole bunch of Fair achievements associated with these races, and some of them will be quite difficult to obtain. To begin the race, find the starting lines to the left and right of the Fairgrounds pier. Next, take the task from Mally Earnhardt or Patty Workers, after which daily racing quests will become available to you.

So, when you have accepted the quest, go to the start and choose your transport. When you get into the vehicle, you will receive a set of abilities unique to each individual car - they will be useful to you to avoid obstacles during the race, and there will be many obstacles. To finish the race, you need to run through all the checkpoints, thus completing the route, while it is advisable to meet the allotted time, or even surpass yourself - your result in the race depends on the time.

Now let's move on to the abilities of the cars so that you can choose the right one in advance:

Brood of Alysrazor - You will receive this achievement when you manage to collect 50 fire rings before falling while playing Challenge of the Firewing. As a reward, you will also receive the Burning Wings toy, which, when used, will give you fiery wings on your back.

Nuts- and here is that very great feat associated with the Fair, although there is only one point from the Fair. As a reward you receive rare title « Nuts" or " Crazy", but completing this achievement will be quite difficult:

    The first step is to upgrade your reputation with the Bloodsail Pirates to respect. To do this, you will have to sacrifice your reputation with the goblin cartels, but more on that later. There are two ways here - kill the NPCs at 27, 83 in the Arathi Highlands, or you can gather a group and kill the guards in Pirate Bay, Gadgetzan or Everview. Both paths lead to dull and long mob farming, so be prepared.

    Now you need to level up your reputation with the neutral goblin cartels to exalted status without ruining your reputation with the pirates. To do this, you need to hunt mobs at 72, 50 in Tanaris, 77, 90 in the Northern Steppes, 56, 33 in Northern Stranglethorn, or 16, 81 in Grizzly Hills. Killing mobs, as you may have guessed, will take a long and tedious time.

    Next, you need reputation with the Black Raven guild, which is easiest to level up with robbers. First you need to achieve reverence by killing mobs in Stromgarde Keep in Arathi Highlands. After this, you should start farming Heavy Caskets - to do this, it is best to go to the Blackrock Spire dungeon as a robber and search the pockets of all the humanoids there. Sooner or later, you will collect enough caskets, which by turning them in at the Black Raven Estate will achieve exalted status with this faction.

    Finally, you must achieve Exalted Darkmoon Faire. It will not be possible to do this right away, since such a reputation is gained through completing quests at this very Fair. If you seriously decide to become a Nutty, then, first of all, stock up on titanic patience.

What to buy at Darkmoon Faire

Here we come to the most diverse goods of Dark Moon Island. There are a lot of them and among them there are both just funny little things and toys with pets.

    Sparkle XL - the fireworks seller Bumi Sparkles from Dark Moon Island carries this toy with him and will give it to you for 150 prize coupons. When using the toy, you within 15 seconds. You will leave behind fireworks when jumping, although you need to be on a mount to do this.

    Last year's Ham is a one-handed blunt weapon, not what you think. It cannot be transmogrified, but if you want to run around with it, it is sold by Rona Greentooth from Darkmoon Island.

    Gear Set: Scarlet Scale is a transmog armor set that can be used by men-at-arms. It is sold for 10,000 gold by the Scarlet Quartermaster from Darkmoon Island, but this merchant will not talk to you just like that - you will need the Scarlet Tabard, which with a 1.18% chance drops from Warrior Garlan from the Scarlet Halls dungeon.

    Gear Set: Scarlet Chain Armor – Another transmog armor set, but this time for Hunters and Shamans. The terms of purchase are the same as for the set for men-at-arms.

    The Cropped Scarlet Tabard is a rare tabard sold by the same Scarlet Quartermaster for 25,000 gold coins.

    Swift Forest Strider is an epic mount sold by Lahra from Darkmoon Island for 180 prize coupons. You can find out in advance what this mount looks like - its brothers are located next to the seller.

    Darkmoon Dancing Bear is another epic mount from the same merchant and again for 180 coupons. If you are riding this bear, then when you press the jump key, instead of roaring, the bear will begin to dance.

    The locations of NPCs that provide the teleportation service to the Darkmoon Fair during it are described. For convenient use, it is better to use the TomTom addon from curse.com, or you can also use a macro - as I remember, it was presented on the official forum by one of the users - in the Interface and Macros section.
    Darkmoon Faire Fortune Tellers provide inexpensive teleport to Thunder Bluff for the Horde or Goldshire for the Alliance during the Faire. This is convenient, and for characters up to level 85 it can even be useful. In order to teleport, you just need to find an NPC with that name, talk to him and pay a certain amount.
    You can see exactly when the next Fair is or will be held in the calendar - an icon next to the minimap.
    The cost of teleportation varies depending on the character's level - from a few coppers for low-level characters to 50 silver for a level 90 character.

    The location of Fortune Tellers in alphabetical order of localities is indicated below. NPCs have varying practical usefulness. For example, in Thunder Bluff or Stormwind their value is insignificant, but nevertheless:

    4. Receiving effects from Vorzhey

    To get a beneficial effect from the Vorja, you need to talk to him.

    In the first dialogue with Vorzhey there will be 4 points (numbered from 1 to 4). Regardless of your choice, the second dialogue will have 3 items (numbered 1 to 3). After the second dialogue you will get the effect.

    Below are the various effects, indicating the order in which items are selected in the dialogs. The same points always give the same effect.

    • Warjay's Dark Lot - armor: 1-3 or 4-3
    • Warjay's Dark Lot - Reason: 2-2 or 4-1
    • Warjay's Dark Lot - Resistance: 1-2 or 2-3
    • Warjay's Dark Lot - Spirit: 2-1 or 4-2

    Once you receive the effect, you will not be able to talk to Warjay for several hours.

    5. Test your strength

    Each month you can test your strength by completing the Test Your Strength challenge given by Kerry Hicks.

    To do this, you need to kill 250 creatures that give experience or honor. At the same time, you should have the Darkmoon Faire Guide in your bag. The reward is 10 Darkmoon Prize Coupon

    6. Leveling up your profession

    Every month you will be able to complete professional tasks (2 tasks for main professions and 4 tasks for secondary professions), even if you have already reached the maximum skill level. The reward for each task is 5 skill points, 1 Darkmoon Token, which is required for mini-games, 3-4 Darkmoon Prize Coupon and 250 units. reputation with the fair.

    If you completed a task in the previous month, a new one will be available at the beginning of a new day (10-00 Moscow time), and not immediately after the opening of the fair.

    Tasks are issued to characters who have leveled up their profession skill to at least 75. If during the fair you reset your profession and level up a new skill to 75, you will be able to complete a second professional task corresponding to the new profession. This trick can be used to quickly obtain the Darkmoon Prize Ticket.

    Below is a list of all available tasks. All of them are extremely simple, so we will not dwell on their implementation.

    • Gathering professions
      • Herbalism: Healing Herbs
      • Mining: Reuse and Recycle
      • Skinning: Scrape the skins
    • Non-collective professions
      • Alchemy: Bubble Cocktail

      • Archeology: Fun for the little ones
      • Cooking: Crispy frogs
      • First aid: Getting workers back on their feet
      • Fishing: Sea Hot Dog

    Alchemy, Archaeology, Cooking, Inscription, Leatherworking, and Tailoring quests will require you to leave the island.

    6.1. Achievement

    Completing 6 professional tasks will reward you with the Help at the Fair achievement.

    7. Mini-games

    For the most part, Darkmoon rewards are purchased using the Darkmoon Prize Ticket. To receive coupons, you must complete daily tasks related to mini-games. There are currently 8 mini-games in the fair, including two types of races. Perhaps there will be more games in the future, because... some fair buildings have not yet been completed.

    Each daily task gives 1 coupon (maximum 8 coupons per day) and 250 food. reputation with the fair (maximum 2000 reputation units per day).

    Although you can participate in mini-games endlessly, you will have to pay a Darkmoon Token each time you do so.

    7.1. Darkmoon Tokens

    To participate in the game, 1 Darkmoon Token is required. Tokens can be purchased from Zina Muhletzenniker (right at the entrance), Sazz Moneygrab (center right), and Trixie Muhletzenniker (next to the arena). The prices are as follows:

    • Bag of Tokens: 5 tokens for 60 silver;
    • Bag of Tokens: 20 tokens for 1 gold and 92 silver (cheaper).

    Tokens can also be obtained as a reward for completing professional tasks (in limited quantities).

    7.2. Gnollop

    This game is related to the daily quest of the same name (Gnollop). There are 9 barrels on the playing area, in which three types of creatures randomly appear. The player must attack the creatures by hitting them with the hammer (key 1) before they disappear. The screenshot shows creatures of three types:

    • hitting a small gnoll in a bonnet will cause you to be stunned for a few seconds and you will not receive any points;
    • hitting a medium gnoll will give you 1 point;
    • hitting a large gnoll will give you 3 points.

    To complete the task you need to score 30 points. If you fail to score the required number of points in one go, be aware that points are not reset when leaving the playing field, and simply play again.

    7.3. Darkmoon Cannon

    Firing the Darkmoon Cannon is associated with the Cannon Man daily quest. The player must climb into the cannon, which will shoot them into the air. After this, he needs to press key 1 in time to fall into the right place, marked by a circle on the water in the fair docks (in the south of the island):

    • If you land outside the circle, you will be stunned for a few seconds and will not receive any points;
    • landing closer to the outer edge of the circle will give you 1 point;
    • landing closer to the center of the circle will give you 3 points;
    • Landing exactly in the center will give you 5 points (and the Sniper Demolitionist achievement).

    To complete a daily task you need to score 5 points, i.e. It is enough to land once in the center. This is quite difficult, so many players need 2-3 attempts. After an unsuccessful attempt, you can talk to Teleportologist Fotzlebulb, and he will transport you back to the cannon.

    This mini-game is very demanding on the quality of the connection, so players with a long delay keep falling by.

    7.4. Shooting Range

    In the fair shooting range you can complete the daily task Bullseye! . There are 3 targets on the wall of the shooting range. Every few seconds one of them is marked with a green arrow. The player must face the target and press the 1 key before the arrow goes out.

    To complete the task you need to hit 25 targets. While the arrow above the target is lit, you can shoot twice, thereby earning 2 points. You can also try to guess which target will light up next and initiate the shot early, but if you don't guess correctly, you'll have to turn very quickly towards the active target. The targets are activated at intervals of several seconds. If the arrow is not lit, you cannot shoot. With that said, it usually takes several attempts to complete the task.

    7.5. Tank battles

    Tank battles are associated with the daily task Tank Commander. There are targets in the mission area that you need to hit by facing them and pressing the 1 key. The goal is to hit 30 targets. This can be done the first time, but most players require several tries.

    It is also necessary to remember that there are enemy tanks on the field. They can be killed in the same way as normal targets (by facing them and pressing 1). If there is an enemy tank and the main target in front of you, you can hit them at the same time. A hit enemy tank will most likely attack you. Destroy him faster than he can destroy you! If your tank breaks down, start the game over and remember that leaving the playing field does not reset the counter.

    If you become a target for an enemy tank, i.e. An arrow has appeared above your tank, press key 2. This will speed up your tank a little and the enemy will not be able to hit it.

    7.6. Ring throwing

    Daily Quest Objective: Turtle is designed for those who love ring throwing. The goal is to string 3 rings onto a pole attached to the turtle's shell. In this case, the turtle is in the arena, and the player must stand outside it. To throw a ring, press 1, aim at the turtle and press the left mouse button.

    Even if you aim very precisely, there is no guarantee that the ring will hit its target. This is due to the mechanics of the mini-game. Thus, we recommend waiting for the turtle to stop and then throwing all the rings at it and hoping for luck.

    7.7. Summon Firewing

    Summon the Firewing is another daily Darkmoon quest. At the beginning of the game, you receive the Wings of Fire effect, which allows you to fly for 10 seconds. If during this time you fly through the ring, the effect will be updated. The goal of the task is to collect 15 fire rings. If you fail to do this in one flight, give Ziggy the Spark another Darkmoon Faire Token and continue playing.

    7.8. Race

    The starting lines for the races are on either side of the fair pier. The Cool Race is on the right, and the Big Cool Race is on the left.

    • The administrator of Cool Race is named Mally Earnhardt. Contact her to take on the quest Welcome to the Darkmoon Races and get your first taste of the race. After this, you will be able to complete the Cool Race task and receive a daily reward. If one race isn't enough for you, do Let's Race! .
    • The administrator of the Big Cool Race is named Patty Workers. Contact her to take on the daily quest Big Steep Race. If one race isn't enough for you, do More Cool Races! .

    To successfully participate in the race, you need to run around the island through checkpoints and then return to the pier. Before the race starts, you need to choose your transport. Currently, there are two types of transport with different properties.

    • Racing Strider:
      • Jumping to the flag allows you to quickly move to the flag and save time (see screenshot);
      • Strengthening the lasso allows you to pick up a strengthening item, eliminating the need to run to it (see details below);
      • Jumping towards a racer allows you to catch up with another racer.
    • Rocket Leg:
      • Accelerators provide significant acceleration and immunity to stun;
      • Giant Jump allows you to jump long distances;
      • A missile salvo will disorient nearby airships that try to stun you;
      • Additionally, you can cancel the parachute from the Giant Jump.

    Each route has power-up items to help you reach the finish line faster, flags that give you a boost, as well as dizzying barbed wire and airships that try to stun the racers. Below are screenshots of all listed objects.

    Gives the effect What a speed! .Allows you to jump forward.
