Caribbean World Resort. Caribbean World Resort Soma Bay – Reviews. Sports and entertainment

Dear visitors of the Tripadvisor website, good day to you! I rarely write reviews. But now I consider it necessary to provide the following information to those tourists who are going to choose the CWR hotel for a vacation. I would like to note right away that I am a more than unpretentious client of Egyptian (Ukrainian, Turkish,...) hotels and always try not to notice those shortcomings that could negatively affect the quality of the holiday. But this time it somehow didn’t work out...sorry... So, I’ll try to present the information briefly and without any emotions: 1. ROOMS - far from new, but everything is in good condition (I paid $25 before checking in and that’s it my wishes regarding the settlement were taken into account). The beds and towels are perfectly clean. Everything works properly, there are no complaints. 2. TERRITORY - clean, everything is tidy and green. One heated pool - water +28", in the water park + 22". 3. WEATHER - winter, it’s winter in Africa too. The air during the day warms up to a maximum of +24", the sea +22"-23" (given the wind, it’s cold to swim). It’s comfortable to be on the beach only from 10.00 and a maximum until 15.30. Don’t forget warm clothes, it’s really cold early in the morning and after 18.30. 4. The BEACH is very large, there are more than enough sunbeds and umbrellas. The sand is dirty - there are cigarette butts, garbage, leftover food EVERYWHERE, racks filled to capacity for collecting dirty dishes, along with towels, take the red flag IMMEDIATELY, otherwise you will not have any opportunity to sunbathe peacefully and! two minutes! Sellers are just an endless stream. Outside the beach (if you go to the left/right side) there is horse and camel manure everywhere, which no one cleans up. 5. THE SEA is clean, not deep, there is NO corals and fish in the sea. 6. SERVICE. To begin with, it should be noted that the hotel has organized a multifaceted system of color differentiation for tourists: there are bracelets in blue, black, red, gold, pink,... For the Slavs - blue bracelets. I can’t write anything to the owners from the service staff. It is simply ABSENT ("absent" from the word ABSOLUTELY). Of course they take it, but you should have seen those condescending smiles on the faces of the service staff. All bars have huge blue tip boxes. So, if you didn’t put anything there, then EVERY TIME you leave the bar you will have to hear a “hissing” in Arabic about the contents of which you can only guess. This is very unpleasant! 7. They smoke EVERYWHERE...on the beach, near the pool, in all bars, including the Lobby. That is why you simply will not have any opportunity to breathe clean air! 9. NUTRITION. The variety of dishes in the dining room is great, but there is NOTHING to choose from for food! Of all the variety, only the following dishes are edible: omelettes, salads, fries, chicken, cupcakes (I only had them twice), verchelles, yogurt, jams. This is all! Alcohol, especially wine, is simply disgusting quality. I admit that such a deplorable state of affairs in the food sector is partly justified by the low season. But the baked goods could have been made normally, regardless of the season! ? ! ? All around there is only YESTERDAY's solid, not tasty, STICKY puff pastry!...there are simply no words.... 10. EXCURSIONS. We purchased two tours from the tour operator to Luxor and Cairo. The Jamaica bar is located in close proximity to the hotel buildings. From 19.00 to 23.00 there is live music, which is heard not only by the 10 visitors of this bar, but also by all other guests. Therefore, you will have the opportunity to go to bed and SLEEP only after completing the program! Thank you for reading this review to the end! If you have any questions, please write, I will answer with pleasure! I wish everyone the right choice of place and time of rest! P.S. Dear representatives of the hotel administration, please do not bother with feedback on this review. Focus your energy on correcting these shortcomings. Good hotel. The rooms themselves are good, the only negative is the electronics. On the first day, the hairdryer did not work, and at night the air conditioning turned off. We immediately contacted the reception and everything was fixed. The hotel has 2 areas - old and new. The old one is naturally greener. And it is inhabited mainly by foreigners (Germans, English, etc.). The sea is excellent, entry into the sea is good. For those who like to swim and snorkel, I advise you to go to the beach of the old territory at the very end of the beach. As for food, everything is good, there is always a choice and the food is basically varied. For breakfast they offer scrambled eggs, omelettes, pancakes, yoghurts, fresh fruit, fruits and salads and, of course, baked goods. For lunch and dinner they offer chicken, beef, fish, all possible greens, vegetables, fruits, etc. The pool bar also offers brunch and snacks; from 3:30 p.m. you can get good burgers, hot dogs and fries. In general, you won't go hungry. I also rate the service staff excellent, there were no conflicts with anyone, everyone always smiles and says hello. Of course I liked everything, because... It was my first time in another country. Moreover, the most important thing in a vacation for me is the sea and the sun.

We rested at the beginning of May in this hotel. The area is clean and well-groomed (we were moved into a new building, but the old one is much more comfortable and greener). The staff is helpful, the cleaning is good, but the bed linen is not changed every day. The hotel ATMs do not dispense dollars, only Egyptian pounds - this was an unpleasant surprise for us. The food is good, but could be more varied. The beach is 5+, there are always free sunbeds and umbrellas, the sea is excellent. Good animation in the hotel, including a lot of entertainment for children. We liked everything!

I’m very pleased with mine! If you don’t care for the next few weeks (and the stench is everywhere), then I can say that this place is heavenly. I’m no stranger to Egypt, to be sure. Upon arrival at the hotel, we were quickly checked in and shown to our room (we drove from the airport for about a year).
By the way, Ohaina is a great territory, a wonderful beach with a very comfortable entrance to the sea. Spacious and clean rooms, which have everything you need.
As a friend, I really want to show respect for the staff. It’s no secret that the service in Egyptian middle-class hotels is excellent, but not in any way. The staff is friendly, respectful and polite, and even if there is a stench, they can react immediately.
As for the kitchen, you can choose a medium and a skin for yourself, it’s delicious, before the speech, the waiters will always pronounce the drinks and bring them to the table.
I don’t have enough savory cavy in Egypt anymore, I decided to try it at the bar for 2 dollars, but it was healthy - just what you need, try it and you won’t be hurt.
I will return from satisfaction, so please Carribean world, I only hope for an improvement in your level!

We chose the hotel for complete relaxation, silence and privacy. There were four of us flying (2 pairs of adults). We lived in two separate rooms next to each other. The rooms are ordinary, overlooking the garden, there are no questions about cleanliness, the staff is diligent, they clean and change towels every day before lunch, they always brought cosmetics and water, tea and coffee were provided as needed.
I liked the water park, but the water in the pool was cool, and we were there during windy weather.
The beach is good, quite clean, towels were issued once a day on cards, when asked to be replaced because... wet, they said it was impossible (they didn’t swear, no, no).
The food was completely satisfactory, meat, cereals, potatoes, pasta, all in different forms, everything was delicious.
The alcohol and drinks at the bars are local, I don’t like it, so it’s better to stock up at duty free.
A couple of times we stayed on the beach at lunchtime to enjoy the sea and the silence, and at that time the beach bar served snacks that were quite decent, hot dogs, burgers, potatoes, vegetables.
So I can safely recommend the hotel, there are no big disadvantages in it, at most small shortcomings that can be everywhere and do not greatly affect your vacation.

We really asked for one thing, they moved us into another room, but we didn’t pay anything extra, we weren’t very happy with the check-in. The hotel and rooms are clean. The food was good, for the money it was just superb, we were there about 4 years ago, then the food was better and now it’s decent. The sea is excellent, there is a sandy entrance. You can go safely, for your money it’s very good, this is not the same hotel when you paid and arrived, but it’s even worse than you thought. The hotel is family-run and may be boring for young people.

Already 5 times in Egypt and there’s nothing to compare it with.
Pros:
- garne service. Typically, summer Europeans are more likely to laugh and serve, rather than receive respect. Without asking anyone for tips, without “shouting” at us and without bothering us on the beach. Everyone laughed and joked with us. We deserved everything.
-spacious rooms, furniture in good condition. Clean up miracle.
- the food for this budget is superb. Lots of clear herbs, greased fish, fresh vegetables/fruits, everything is tastier and even fresher. Once in 10 days there was seafood))
- a great team of animators, charged with positivity and active improvement. Children's animation is well done. The show program is every evening, with plenty to keep you busy until 01:00.
- the beach is clean, plenty of new sun loungers. The entrance to the sea is gentle, the water is clean, but at this hour it is cold)).
- a large swimming pool with heated water and hot water fountains))
There are pluses and minuses:
- well, alcohol is everywhere in Egypt, and in Albatross and Caribbean they pour it from one bag))
- There are no corals, there are very few fish. Then the man to the right is on the beach, swimming with the majestic turtle))
- the pool with the water slides is not heated, so we’ve only been there a couple of times, and not all of them, but only some of them are baked))
- the tiles in the shower are very slimy and there are no humic residues. Sin, having licked his lips and broken his head, was stitched up ((you need to be even more careful. Otherwise, you can eat in any place...
Considering everything, we are satisfied with the hotel, and we may choose him again. How will the food be written)) We didn’t book excursions in a year))

In almost every review we found complete positivity: “...great hotel, beautiful beach... you can’t find better conditions for children... varied and tasty food... lawns, palm trees...”. However, only after visiting Caribbean did it become clear that the situation at the hotel was far from ideal.

That’s why it’s time to briefly describe the negative feelings that remained after a visit to the Caribbean World resort. So, the main disadvantage is the food. I have no desire to describe the dining room menu; I will only say one thing: during lunch and dinner I had nothing to feed my children! Only breakfasts with their standard omelettes and yoghurts saved the situation. All other food is of low quality, not tasty, not healthy and monotonous. I don’t know if I need to say that there is no children’s menu in the dining room!

The only edible meat is portioned beef, but the staff hands it out in such a way that you lose all appetite. There is no possibility to drink coffee in the hotel. It’s hard to call the liquid that pours out of collapsing (in the literal sense of the word) vending machines COFFEE!
Caribbean is the first hotel in which I did not have the opportunity to eat normal dates. Imagine the picture: in the dining room there is a basin into which small, wrinkled, broken, crushed fruits, filled with sweet liquid, have been poured... Appetizing, isn’t it?

If you don't believe it, please visit this hotel and see for yourself.

The hotel is 60% occupied by foreign pensioners and that is why, throughout my stay, I had the feeling that I was in a nursing home. Forgive me, please, but I have to add that the vast majority of them, judging by their appearance and behavior, belong to the lower social strata in their homeland. For me, the most unpleasant moment was that all these pensioners smoke and smoke even near the only, warm, children's pool. To my repeated comments that there were small children all around, they had only one answer: “Nicht ferstein”!

In addition, foreigners buy food at the bar and consume it exclusively on the beach. That is why all the beach counters for collecting dirty dishes are filled to capacity every day! And naturally, where there is dirt, there are flies... there are a lot of them on the beach. Don't forget to take repellent. If you don't believe it, please visit this hotel and see for yourself.

Another disappointment was the fact that Caribbean does not have a children's club or children's animation program.
Two words about A la carte, there are two of them - Italian and Arabic. In Italian, all food is from the canteen. There's simply nothing to talk about!
The trick of the Arabic is that visitors are served a variety of meats over charcoal. It’s delicious, but there is so much smoke in the restaurant that you can stand it for a maximum of 30 minutes...
In conclusion, I can say this: if the tour operator offers you an exceptionally favorable price, then perhaps it will make sense for you to visit Caribbean world resorts. In all other cases, I recommend choosing another place to stay.
Good luck for everyone!

R.S. About the January weather: daytime air temperature +22", evening +16"-18". Sea water temperature +22"-23". In other words - do not forget to take warm clothes for the children!

But this time it somehow didn’t work out... sorry...

So, I will try to present the information briefly and without any emotions:

1. ROOMS - far from new, but everything is in good condition (I paid $25 before check-in and all my wishes regarding the check-in were taken into account). The beds and towels are perfectly clean. Everything works properly, there are no complaints.

2. TERRITORY - clean, everything is tidy and green. One heated pool - water +28", in the water park +22".

4. BEACH - very large, more than enough sun loungers and umbrellas. The sand is dirty - cigarette butts, garbage, leftover food are EVERYWHERE, racks filled to capacity for collecting dirty dishes. Along with the towels, take the red flag IMMEDIATELY! Otherwise, you will not have any opportunity to sunbathe calmly for even two minutes! Sellers just come in an endless stream. Outside the beach (if you go to the left/right side) there is horse and camel dung everywhere, which no one cleans up.

5. SEA - clean, not deep, shallow entrance. There are NO corals or fish in the sea.

6. MAINTENANCE. To begin with, it should be noted that the hotel has organized a multifaceted system of color differentiation for tourists: bracelets are available in blue, black, red, gold, pink... colors. For the Slavs - blue bracelets. I can’t write anything about the attitude towards their owners on the part of the service personnel. It is simply ABSENT ("absent" from the word ABSOLUTELY). You simply do not exist, all attention is given only to foreigners. If you think that baksheesh will dramatically change the situation, then it is not so. In this hotel, no one counts $1 as a tip. Of course they take them, but you should have seen those condescending smiles on the faces of the service staff. All bars have huge blue tip boxes. So, if you didn’t put anything there, then EVERY TIME you leave the bar you will have to hear a “hissing” in Arabic, the content of which you can only guess. This is very unpleasant!

7. HOTEL CONTINGENT - 60% foreign pensioners, 40% parents with children (French, Italians, Poles, Germans...).

8. SMOKING AREAS. They simply don't exist. They smoke EVERYWHERE... on the beach, near the pool, in all bars, including the Lobby. That is why you simply will not have any opportunity to breathe clean air!

9. NUTRITION. The variety of dishes in the dining room is great, but there is NOTHING to choose from for food! Of all the variety, only the following dishes are edible: omelettes, salads, fries, chicken, cupcakes (I only had them twice), noodles, yogurt, jams. This is all! Alcohol, especially wine, is simply disgusting quality.
I admit that such a deplorable state of affairs in the food sector is partly justified by the low season. But the baked goods could have been made normally, regardless of the season. All around there is only YESTERDAY’S solid, not tasty, STICKY puff pastry!... there are simply no words...

10. EXCURSIONS. We purchased two tours from the tour operator to Luxor and Cairo. Unfortunately, the time spent at historical sites amounted to less than 30% of the total time spent in these cities. 70% of the time the tour operator drags you around souvenir shops and shops. This is just some kind of trash...! All the guides do all the way is try to sell you some kind of garbage - tea, coffee, cane honey... It's a total mess!

Before purchasing these excursions, please think 100 times whether it is worth spending time and effort on tedious travel (to Luxor - 4 hours one way, to Cairo - about 7).
