Athens Riviera: resort areas. Deals for Parthenis Riviera Hotel (Hotel), Athens (Greece) Olympic Riviera Greece

...The time has come to harvest... The Greek spread a scarf under the olive tree and began to wait for the wind. But he’s still not there... “It’s a bad year again,” the Greek said sadly.

In fact, the Greeks really like to tell all sorts of stories about themselves: how loving and cheerful they are, how they drink coffee for hours and take a siesta for half a day. They also started the rumor that they were very lazy. Don't trust them! Greece lives from tourism and agriculture. The abundance of organic vegetables and fruits, as well as high-quality meat and dairy products on the tables of the Greeks themselves and their guests are not gifts from the Olympic gods, but evidence of colossal work from early morning until late evening. This, as well as cordiality and hospitality, high-quality service and reasonable prices, attracts millions of tourists from different countries to Greece, and I must say, the Greeks are waiting for them with hope and an open heart.

In a roadside cafe, where our group wandered in the hope of having a snack on the way to Meteora, we were fed quickly, tasty and inexpensively, and the owner, already seeing us off, counting the simple proceeds, cheerfully exclaimed: “Thank you, RUSSIA, thank you!”

The Greeks love Russian tourists very much, we are close to them in mentality, we are related by Christianity, we have common shrines, unexpectedly, with the help of the guide, we found out that we know a lot of Greek words and use them in our everyday communication. Hotels provide our tourists with the best rooms, so when tourists, out of habit, ask to be accommodated “even better,” the Greeks are offended.

O. Corfu

My journey began from the island, or Kerkyra, as the Greeks themselves call it, immersed in the greenery of olive and cypress groves, and was accompanied by the singing of nightingales and the stunning smells of flowering plants. Landscape - islands, hills and mountains, beaches - from sand to large pebbles, depending on the resort, because The island is washed by two seas, and the water temperature also varies significantly. The inhabitants of the island are unusually proud of being the descendants of the ancient Hellenes, since Kerkyra is the only Greek island that never surrendered to the Turks. Russia took the side of Greece in that war, so there are several memorial places on the island dedicated to the Russian admiral Ushakov, whom the Greeks even elevated to the rank of saint. The patron saint of the island is Saint Spyridon of Trimythous, whose incorruptible relics are kept in Kerkyra, in the heart of the old city. I am happy that I visited this holy place.

Romantics vacationing here should definitely go to the Paleokastritsa area, watch the stunningly beautiful sunsets, as well as to Sidari, where the Love Canal is located, by sailing along which lovers will never part with each other (if they manage to get out of the raging canal). Despite the small territory, the island has a lot of interesting places and attractions, including the Zoodokhu Pigis Monastery, the Kanoni Peninsula and the Achilleo Palace, Mouse Island, the main square of the city of Spianada, divided into a park area and a cricket field, the famous Liston Street , built in the likeness of the French street of Rivoli. People come here to sit in a cafe and drink Greek coffee; the tourist train departs from here. The lacy shores of the island have many coves and grottoes, when you sail by ferry from the port of Corfu Town, the majestic watchtowers gradually hide behind them the coastal streets built in the Venetian style...

For holidays with children Ideally suited are hotels such as , complex , and more economical , . Some of them have a “mother and baby” formula, which means that the hotel must have a sandy beach with a gentle slope into the sea, a convenient area for walking with strollers, if you need baby food (cereals, purees, etc.). ), you can order this when booking, the rooms are on the 1st floor, there are shops near the hotel where you can buy diapers, etc.

A very decent “four” for families with children – large territory, 1st line, good accommodation, there are apartments.

Relaxation for romantic couples and for those who just want privacy and relaxation: and a new product on our market. High level of service, eco-food, everything made from natural materials, cosmetics from famous companies, stylish “aged” furniture and stunning nature.

For those who are not afraid of descents and ascents and are attracted by beautiful nature and exciting sunsets: , (the owner boasts of a view of Abramovich’s villa opposite).

I would also like to note that from Corfu it is very convenient to get to the monasteries in Meteora and to Fr. Bari (Italy), where the relics of St. Nicholas the Wonderworker are kept. Therefore, I recommend the island of Corfu to those who want to venerate Christian shrines, combining this with relaxation in a beautiful place.

Kastoria

From Fr. Corfu to the port of Igoumenitsa, which is already on mainland Greece, takes about 2.5 hours to sail. Then we get on the bus and go to the city, where on the shores of the picturesque Lake Orestiada, surrounded by mountains, there are fur factories, famous and not so famous. After wandering around the shops and looking at the price tags of fur coats, I suddenly clearly realized that I had long been ripe for GREENPEACE. I saw ducks on the shore of the lake, I’ll go feed them... Everything, everything: about fur coats, it’s either good or nothing...

Meteora

In the morning we go to Meteora. The road is serpentine, the landscape outside the window is constantly changing, we climb higher and higher, the guide is trying his best to bring us out of a comatose state, and finally, the place Kalambaka, where we stop and visit an icon-painting workshop. The scenery around is already fantastic. Among the already familiar chain of mountains overgrown with trees, rocks of bizarre shapes are piled up, as if some unknown force stuck them there. Severe and unapproachable, they look completely alien to the landscape around them. And at the very top there are monasteries. Amazing! The history of the construction of Orthodox monasteries in Meteora still remains a mystery; it is believed that the founders were monks from the Athos Peninsula. The most revered icon here is the icon of the Mother of God “Unfading Joy”; the churches in the monasteries are decorated with frescoes from the sixteenth century. A place of amazing energy and strength. Tested for myself. When you look from the heights of the monastery at the plain of Thessaly below, you experience a feeling of flight and admiration. Looking at the monks we met in the monasteries, at their enlightened faces, I thought that, probably, the monasteries used to be located at ground level, and they were raised up along with the rocks by the prayers of the monks and their desire to be closer to God.

Olympic Riviera

The transfer to the Olympic Riviera took two hours. We stopped at the hotel to relax and in the morning we went further to the Chalkidiki peninsula. The hotel is not worthy of five stars. It is convenient for those who want to relax and travel by car, because... From here it is convenient to get to many excursion sites. There is a village nearby with shops and taverns.

Chalkidiki Peninsula

The peninsula is shaped like the trident of Poseidon (and there were myths and legends of Ancient Greece here) and is surrounded by coniferous forests and olive groves. Hippocrates also noted the healing properties of these places. Relict pine trees and sea air provide a unique healing effect to those who have suffered severe forms of respiratory tract diseases or suffer from asthma.

Cassandra

The first “finger” of the peninsula is good for families with children, young people (especially the village of Kallithea), and for a secluded holiday. Here, compared to other regions, there is low air humidity, sandy beaches with convenient access. Of the hotels, I really liked the complex, which has remained in demand for many years and offers excellent service, quality food, and animation programs for all categories of vacationers. For families with children - , for couples without children - , for fans of spa treatments - and the most luxurious - where each client is given a key to the hotel. On the common territory there is a huge sports complex, a children's playground in the eucalyptus park, world-class show programs and musicals in a modern entertainment center, 30 bars and restaurants, three state-of-the-art SPA centers. From mid-July to the end of August, the complex hosts the annual and only Europe music festival SANI.

One of the best hotels for family holidays, operating on an ultra all inclusive system. The hotel is located on a hill, which, in my opinion, is inconvenient for a holiday with children, but individual ordering of baby food, a huge mini-club and the ability to call an electric car more than compensate for this disadvantage.

Starting this year, the hotel, a boutique hotel specializing in SPA programs and offering a quiet, respectable vacation, has been opened for Russian tourists. Not located on the beach, has a shuttle to the beach. The rooms are very stylishly decorated, there is a large area with outdoor exercise equipment. Despite the fact that the hotel has a children's playground, it seems to me that it is not worth going there with children.

But where is it worth going with kids, this is definitely . It is located secluded, surrounded by a pine forest, but the hotel has very strong animation, all of whose programs are original and captivate not only children, but also adults. The “Mom and Baby” program works here, the food is excellent, the sea has a long sunset and pleasant sand, beautiful territory and the most skillful nightingales.

For those who like to relax without noise and fuss, at the foot of the mountains and near the sea: , . The last hotel is completely renovated, on the 1st line.

Located in the very pretty village of Hanioti on the 1st line, it has a small but cozy area, an excellent cook, good rooms. What they write in reviews about the poor entrance to the sea is outdated information, I personally checked it myself: landscaping work was carried out on the beach.

In the same village there are economy class hotels, mainly for young people and mobile tourists: - Line 2, everything is very simple, no frills, - even simpler, but located almost on the first line (in front of it is a small park separating the beach from the hotel) , has a good fish restaurant.

Sithonia and Athos

And – two more “fingers” of the Halkidiki peninsula. The beaches in Sithonia are predominantly sandy and pebble, the forests are healing, the holiday is calm, most suitable for older people and for those who suffer from respiratory diseases. Athos is a closed monastic “state within a state”; tourists can rest only in a small space adjacent to the peninsula. There are sandy beaches, no discos or bars, and no large shops.

The Greeks are rightfully proud of their country, which has given the world great scientists, writers, creators and politicians. The proximity to Mount Olympus served to create myths about the gods living there. To this day, the Greeks willingly talk about them with a condescending smile and irony, as about their distant and numerous relatives.

I think everyone can find something for themselves in Greece, it’s so different! The city of the Maltese Knights of Rhodes, the island-reserve Zakynthos with magnificent beaches where giant turtles have settled; Thessaly, where there are many unexplored corners with virgin nature and small family hotels; Athens, where you can touch history in the truest sense of the word; Loutraki, which will return you to health and vigor, and, finally, little Corfu, immersed in greenery and carefully preserving Christian shrines and ancient monuments...

I want you to love Greece as much as I love it, so I invite you to our office. Let's get to know each other

always yours, Olga.

You don't have to travel far to escape the busy bustle of the Greek capital: just 30 minutes away is a fashionable beach resort, beloved not only by Athenians, but also by Greeks from all over the country. Meet the Athens Riviera. The excellent local beaches along the Saronic Gulf stretch from the southern suburbs of Athens to the southernmost point of Attica, Cape Sounion. Here, nothing reminds you of the bustle of the metropolis, and the leisurely and carefree lifestyle against the backdrop of beautiful landscapes and idyllic palm trees completely relaxes and makes you forget about everything.

While relaxing here, take the opportunity to swim, soak up the sun at a table in one of the cafes on the embankment, stroll along the pedestrian path that looks like something straight out of a bright tourist postcard, and walk to the yacht marina. Other options include practicing your favorite water sports, leisurely shopping in trendy shopping centers, lunch on the seashore while the waves rustle, or a fun “party” in one of the many coastal youth clubs. “Partying” here until dawn, you can consider that you have visited the Greek island of Mykonos - the center of youth fun without any borders. A city break is not boring at all, is it? And most importantly, you can relax in Glyfada all year round, combining relaxed fun with a trip to interesting and educational excursions with MOUZENIDIS TRAVEL.

Glyfada is made up of nice resort areas, each of which is attractive in its own way.

Faliro Districtlocated very close to Athens. But still far enough for the capital’s hustle and bustle to be completely forgotten. Magnificent views of the Saronic Gulf, a wide range of holiday options - an excellent magnet for travelers. Faliro's calling card is its picturesque marina, where you can often find very impressive specimens. The coastal park is great for leisurely walks or bike rides. An excellent beach, parks, playgrounds, shopping centers and restaurants - everything you need for a good rest.

Glyfada- one of the most elegant suburbs of Athens, which is distinguished by sandy palm beaches, cosmopolitan clubs where the pulse of country life beats, fashionable hotels, boutiques and restaurants. After swimming in the crystal clear sea, enjoy a frappe coffee in one of the coastal cafes.

Voulalocated next to Glyfada. There are two magnificent beaches here, where the most fashionable beach clubs noisy beach parties are held until late autumn. In summer, Voula resembles an amusement park that never ceases day or night, with modern bars, water skiing, beach volleyball and water slides, and, of course, dancing on bright grounds.

Vouliagmeniis located further east. This coast is located in a picturesque area in front of Mount Gimmetus. A marina and private beaches are the hallmark of this area. Turquoise water, a beach with fine soft sand, excellent infrastructure and the Blue Flag of the European Union for the cleanliness of the coast confirm the status of Vouliagmeni as the owner of the most popular beaches in Attica. Opposite the prestigious Astir Club there is a public beach that can be accessed for free. Vouliagmeni has a vibrant nightlife, elegant cafes, restaurants and charming hotels.

From the resort Varkiza There is a magnificent seascape that can be seen from the impressive bay located below the coastal road. Athenians come here to enjoy water sports, enjoy delicious food in taverns on the seashore and, of course, ouzo (aniseed vodka), which perfectly complements seafood and fish.

The coastal road passes wonderful tourist resorts Lagonissi And Saronida, leading to the legendary Cape Sounion, the southeastern tip of Attica. The majestic temple of Poseidon is located here; it was this land that the ancient Athenians left every time they set sail for the Aegean Sea. Looking at the amazing sunset from here, you will see an indescribable play of colors: the sky, changing its shades from purple to pink, makes the sea shine like sapphires. It is at this magical moment that you do not forget to make your secret wish. There is a belief that it will definitely come true.

I liked it, I came twice and both times for my birthday!

In this hotel you feel like you are visiting loved ones. It is very cozy, the hotel director every morning during breakfast always asks how we are located, gives advice on all issues of interest, and pays maximum attention to each guest. Convenient access from the airport and also to the center cities, buses and trams in different directions are located near the hotel. The rooms have everything you need (electric kettle, refrigerator, air conditioning, fresh bedding and comfortable beds. Across the road is the municipal beach with clean water, sun loungers, umbrellas, cafes, showers and toilets. Price in The hotel is one of the most profitable in the area. Excellent location of the hotel, the beach is paid opposite, after 19-00 admission is free. Wild beach nearby on the left 7 min. go, very calm beach, there are benches, three shady canopies - umbrellas, a changing room, a dry closet. The Glefada district is within walking distance: there are restaurants, shopping, supermarkets. There is a supermarket in Voula next to the hotel, there is a large selection, everything is there, our prices are ours. The hotel is wonderful, Natalia is very helpful, advises where to go, where to eat, how to get to attractions. The breakfasts are excellent, plentiful, and the fruits served are seasonal.

The coffee from the coffee machine is not very good, it's not for everyone. For breakfast I would like to add yogurt and scrambled eggs.

Great option for a weekend. Convenient location. There is a direct bus X96 from the airport. You can get to Glyfada by tram 5 or 3. You can also get to Vouliagmeni and Yabanaka by bus (stop opposite). Friendly staff, clean rooms, good soundproofing in the room. Noise was disturbing (loud conversations of staff and other guests). At first I was put in a room on the 1st floor. It was cold (I didn’t think to turn on the air conditioning, every room has it), noisy (TV and loud conversations of the staff and other guests) and you could hear the water running and the toilet flushing in the neighboring rooms. Then on the floor above, I liked it more. There was a small balcony. The location is near the road, there are cars and motorcycles rushing there all the time, of course you can hear everything. But the noise from the road didn't bother me. He was like a background. Loud conversations in the hotel early in the morning and late in the evening disturbed me (I was used to silence). Breakfast is included, which is great. A small wish: to diversify the assortment a little. Add yogurts and pears to your breakfast. There was sour cream, but I’m not used to eating that in the morning. Not everyone eats sandwiches in the morning. In general, it would be great if the breakfasts were a little more varied and if it were a little quieter in the hotel itself.

Room cleaning every day! Every day two new towels, soap, shampoo. There is a refrigerator in the room (you could buy groceries in the store and have a snack in the room). Necessary utensils and cutlery are also provided in your room upon request. Breakfast included. Convenient location of the hotel: across the road is the beach. Nearby there is a tram ring that goes to Athens. You can walk to Glyfada in 20 minutes and walk there. You can walk to Vouliagmeni Thermal Lake in 1 hour or take a bus there. There is also a bus stop across the street that goes to the airport. The hotel owner offers the services of a taxi driver who can meet you at the airport and take you to the hotel in 15-20 minutes (35 euros). This is convenient if you arrive late in the evening. That's what I did. The hotel is economical in terms of amenities, but its location justifies the cost. An excellent option for those who are not particularly picky. For me, for example, location and convenient transportation are more important. The staff speaks Russian, English, Greek. For breakfast, tea, honey, bread, sausage, butter, jam, cheese, boiled eggs, bananas, apples, oranges, juices - satisfying. Many thanks to all the employees: they listen to wishes and try to do everything in the best possible way.

The hotel is next to the road, it makes noise at night and interferes with traffic.

We easily found the hotel, which was important since we arrived at midnight. It is a stone's throw from the X96 bus stop (from the airport). The room we were given was not exactly what we expected. In return, we were immediately accommodated in a two-room apartment, larger and better than what we had booked. Beds with mattresses are good. The linen is clean and fresh. There are blankets and extra pillows. We had room 38 on the top floor with a large terrace with furniture and pillows and a view of the sea. The room has a kitchenette. The bathroom has a bath and shower. Breakfast is standard and delicious. Eat - I don't want to. Manager Anna speaks Russian. Across the road is the final stop of trams 3 and 5.

  • Olympic Riviera is a belt of beaches that stretches for 70 km between the cities of Methoni and Nei Pori, in Greece. This is a picturesque place where everyone can enjoy magnificent views of the Olympus and Ossa mountain ranges.

A few years ago this area was very popular among tourists from the former Yugoslavia and Central Europe, which until now were among the cheapest holiday destinations in Greece, but now it has become much quieter. The Olympic Riviera is famous for its abundance of campsites and the opportunity to rent cheap accommodation. However, the quality of standard services for tourists here is somewhat lower than at the island resorts.

There is no shortage of attractions and recreational options on the Riviera. There is also a good base for excursions, such as the peak of Mount Olympus. The most popular resorts in the region and nearby Paralia Katerini, Plaka and Leptokaria.

Paralia Katerini is one of the oldest tourist towns on the Olympic Riviera, famous for its beautiful beaches, numerous taverns and shops. With the influx of more and more tourists, resorts located in close proximity to the village began to grow.

Today Paralia Katerini covers an area of about four kilometers; previously there was a fishing port here. In the seventies it was expanded into a large resort. Currently, you can find many nightclubs, taverns, hotels and shops here. The beach here is sand and gravel and not very wide.

Plaka- a small tourist town where all life is in full swing located along the main road. Here you can find several clubs known throughout the Riviera, where residents of neighboring cities and vacationing tourists from other countries come. However, they prefer to bask in the sun in Leptokarya, a small town famous for its magnificent sandy beaches. Leptokarya is a very lively resort, however, in the low season, it is a typical calm Greek city, where you can enjoy the silence and experience the real Greece.

In addition to the above-mentioned cities, on the Olympic Riviera there are a huge number of small tourist villages that offer accommodation in mini-hotels or campsites, which are very popular. This is actually not surprising, because for little money you will get the opportunity to see that same Mount Olympus, lie on a gorgeous sandy beach and swim in the warm sea (if you, of course, visited
