Airline s7 aircraft fleet. S7 Airlines. Baggage and hand luggage

S7 Group expects to be the first in Russia to completely renew its fleet of medium-haul aircraft and switch to Airbus and Boeing aircraft of the latest generation. The country's largest private air group plans to retire the A320ceo and Boeing 737NG from its fleet and start flying only the A320neo and Boeing 737MAX by 2024, Vedomosti reports, citing S7 Group Deputy CEO Grigory Davydov.

Today, the fleet of the S7 Group, which includes S7 Airlines (Siberia; flies on the Airbus A320 and regional Embraer 170 family aircraft) and Globus (operates the Boeing 737NG), has 91 aircraft, including 74 mainline Airbus and Boeing. Of these, 10 narrow-body aircraft are of the new generation: eight A320neo, as well as one A321neo and one each. Until the end of 2020, S7 will accept 32 more aircraft under operating lease: 19 A320neo, 3 A321neo, .

The Group is the first Russian recipient of A320neo and Boeing 737MAX aircraft. At the same time, it is noted that S7 has changed its approach to contracting aircraft and now leases them for two years (apparently, we are talking about leasing contracts with the possibility of extension). Among the benefits that such a position provides is protection from an excess fleet when the market falls, as well as the possibility of obtaining aircraft in improved modifications. In particular, Airbus recently certified a version of the A321LR (long range), designed to carry up to 240 passengers. against 230 in the basic configuration. A further increase in capacity was also not ruled out.

Taking into account the withdrawal of part of the Airbus and Boeing aircraft of the current generation and the receipt of the latest remotorized aircraft, the S7 fleet will increase to 103 aircraft by the end of 2019 (however, this figure may be adjusted depending on market conditions). The high cost of leasing payments for new aircraft will be compensated by the fuel efficiency of the machines (the cost of jet fuel today already accounts for all the costs of airlines).

Thanks to the use of new generation aircraft, less time will be spent on maintenance of aircraft (by the way, the provider S7 Technics, which is part of the group, has a permit to service remotorized narrow-body aircraft and Airbus), which, accordingly, will become one of the factors for increasing flight hours. Thus, it is planned to operate the Boeing 737MAX with a record intensity of 16 hours 40 minutes per day compared to 14 hours 10 minutes per day on the Boeing 737NG. For comparison: last year, the Russian low-cost carrier Pobeda was the world leader in Boeing 737NG flights, flying on each aircraft of this type for 15-16 hours a day.

Previously, the potential possibility of a complete transition to the latest generation narrow-body aircraft was announced by Ural Airlines. This airline announced plans to replenish the fleet with aircraft of the family

Flight is an essential component of more than 50% of travel around the globe. Most tourists sleep, read books or just relax during their voyages on airliners. But some people do not tolerate air travel very well. Some travelers are swayed, others are haunted by aerophobia. To make the flight as comfortable as possible and with minimal risk to health, you need to know which seats you should take tickets for. To do this, you should familiarize yourself with the scheme of the liner on which the air voyage will be carried out.

One of the most common aircraft in Russia is the Boeing 737-800. It is used by many domestic airlines, including S7 Airlines. Let's talk about what this liner is and where the best seats are on it.

New generation liner

Boeing 737-800 is a new generation airliner. Compared to the previous model 737-400, it has a larger capacity of 20 people (190 versus 170), more powerful engines, improved wings and tail. The aircraft is equipped with the latest navigation devices. The first flight of the apparatus took place in 1997. Since that time, it has been used on short and medium length lines (up to 5,000 km). The aircraft is constantly being improved and is still being produced with minor changes.

The largest user of the Boeing 737-800 in the world is the Irish low-cost airline Ryanair. Most of all aircraft of this type in Russia are used by carriers "" and. The liner has been meeting the requirements of both pilots and passengers for 20 years.

S7 Airlines Boeing 737-800 Scheme

Liner schemes, which are operated by different companies, are very different. Below is a description, photo and diagram of Boeing 737-800 aircraft used on domestic and international routes by S7 Airlines. The planes of this enterprise can accommodate 160 travelers. 12 of them can take business class seats, 154 are located in economy class seats.

Business Class

In the forward fuselage of the Boeing 737-800 of S7 Airlines, the first-row seats have special advantages and disadvantages:

  • Firstly, in front of them is the kitchen, from which smells penetrate the salon, which are not always pleasant for travelers.
  • Secondly, the back of the next seat will never fall on the knees of those sitting in front, and there will be no need to ask anyone to rise a little.

The second row of seats is unremarkable, but the third is separated from the economy class seats only by a small partition that reaches half of the seats and a screen. For this reason, snatches of conversations and laughter from the adjacent compartment of the aircraft can reach the seats located at the end of the Boeing business class cabin.

Economy class

On the cabin map of the Boeing 737 800 aircraft used by S7 Airlines, you can see that the best seats are in the front of the economy class compartment. Armchairs of 4 rows are located in front of the curtain, which separates the salons of different categories. Passengers sitting in seats with index 4:

  • have more legroom (up to 90 cm, depending on the layout of the aircraft);
  • during the flight, they are the first to receive food and drinks and can fully enjoy the taste of hot meals;
  • they can quickly approach the flight attendant and ask her for water or ask questions about flight duration, altitude, temperature overboard, etc.

Seats A and F in row 9 of some Boeing 737-800s owned by S7 Airlines may not have windows. This feature can be positive if the flight takes place in the morning or evening, when too bright sun can shine in the eyes of passengers. It can also be negative if landing is planned at night - the time at which large cities sparkle with millions of lights. In order not to sit in a row without a window, you should find a photo of the aircraft cabin presented on the S7 Airlines website.

If you flew with S7 Airlines, then leave your feedback with us at. This way you can help other travelers avoid mistakes and help S7 Airlines improve the quality of service and flights.

Also, traveling in the 12th row of the Boeing 737-800 of S7 Airlines may not be a pleasure. The seat backs of this row do not recline or have special restraints, as the seats are located in front of the emergency exit.

Economy class on a Boeing 737-800 airline S7

The 14th row of seats occupies a special place in the Boeing 737-800. The layout of the cabin presented on the S7 website shows that it has the best seats. There is plenty of legroom in front of the seats in this row. A slight disadvantage is that the backs of seats A and F are slightly beveled.

All subsequent seats in the economy class cabin are the same. 2 weaknesses have only 30 row seats. These chairs are installed next to the toilet. Their backs do not recline, and passengers sitting in seats C and D may be inconvenienced by travelers queuing for the toilet.

Seats at emergency exits

Seats in the 13th row on Boeing 737-800 aircraft stand somewhat apart. The places of this row are clearly visible on all photos of the interior of the Boeing 737 airliner from S7. This is due to the fact that they are located near the main emergency exit. There are only 2 seats in this row, which is convenient for couples who want to be always together. At the same time, from the windows, which are located near the 13th row, you can mainly see the wing of the aircraft and a small piece of the sky.

It is forbidden to sit in these places:

  • travelers with children;
  • disabled people;
  • pregnant women;
  • elderly people.

It is forbidden to put hand luggage in the aisles near the seats of the 13th row.

If you want to fly in the most comfortable economy class seats, you should take part in one of the loyalty programs offered by S7 Airlines marketers.

Also, tickets for the best places should be booked at least 3 months before the expected date of the flight. You can book tickets at the lowest price on our website in the form below. We guarantee that we will have the lowest price you will find on the market.

Conclusion

The layout of the cabin of the Boeing 737-800 by S7 Airlines shows that the best seats in the bow of the liner are located in the 2nd row, in the middle part - in the 4th, 13th and 14th rows.

S7 Airlines uses aircraft of the Boeing 737-800 type with various configurations. This article describes the most common seating option in aircraft of this type. Immediately before buying tickets for specific seats, you should consult with the carrier's manager.

S7 Airlines (Siberia Airlines) is a Russian airline based at Moscow Domodedovo Airport, one of the largest in terms of the number of passengers carried. At the time of its 20th anniversary, S7 Airlines has 146 destinations of its own route network in 26 countries of the world. The company, founded in the center of the continent, today operates flights to the most extreme points of Eurasia, many thousands of kilometers away from each other.

The history of Siberia Airlines begins in 1957, when the first civilian flight was made from a military airfield in the Novosibirsk Region (future Tolmachevo Airport). It was on the basis of the Tolmachevsky squadron that Siberia Airlines was formed in 1992.

Tu-154. This aircraft is an integral part of the history of domestic civil aviation. For a long time, the Tu-154 was the basis of the fleet of the a / c "Siberia". In 2012, for the 20th anniversary of S7 Airlines, a memorial aircraft Tu-154 with tail number RA-85628 was installed on a pedestal near the entrance to Tolmachevo Airport, which made a huge number of flights with the airline:

Novosibirsk International Airport (Tolmachevo) is the largest transit hub beyond the Urals on key routes between Europe and Asia.

For a long time, the airport was the base for S7 Airlines, and today it remains the main hub in the eastern part of the country.

The rapid development of the airline has led to the need to go beyond the Siberian region.

Since 2001, the company has begun an active expansion of the route network, opening new flights from Moscow and other cities of Russia.

Today Domodedovo is the main and key airport for S7 Airlines. The company has the most modern and one of the "youngest" aircraft fleets on the Russian air transportation market. All flights are carried out only on liners of foreign production of Airbus and Boeing companies.

The airline's fleet includes 20 Airbus A319s, 17 Airbus A320s, four Airbus A321s and two long-haul Boeing 767-300s.

S7 Airlines aircraft have a bright green color scheme that makes them visible at almost any airport in the world.

The company, founded in the center of the continent, today operates flights to the most extreme points of Eurasia, many thousands of kilometers away from each other. Every day, S7 aircraft make 197 flights to 146 destinations in 26 countries.

Here are some extreme points of the airline's route network. Westernmost point - Dublin (Ireland). Ireland is traditionally associated with Guinness beer, whiskey and the famous national dance:

Hong Kong Airport (Chek Lap Kok) is one of the busiest in the world. This is one of the southernmost points in the international route network of S7 Airlines:

The easternmost point is Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky. From the east, Kamchatka is washed by the Pacific Ocean, and in summer the sun rises on the peninsula at the moment when people in Moscow have not yet gone to bed - the time difference is as much as 8 hours:

Kamchatka has no land connection with the mainland of Russia, so you can only get here by plane.

Norilsk is located beyond the Arctic Circle in the north of the Krasnoyarsk Territory. The city has an extremely harsh climate, winter here lasts at least 8 months, and the historical minimum recorded in Norilsk is -64.7 degrees!

Westernmost continental point - Madrid (Spain):

While passengers are waiting to board their flight in the airport lounges, ground services are busy preparing the aircraft for departure. They are faced with a difficult task - to carry out routine procedures in a short time, refuel the aircraft with fuel, water, load luggage and do everything necessary to make the upcoming flight safe and comfortable.

The minimum standard for aircraft ground handling time is approximately 37 minutes.

The crew of the aircraft receives power, checks the operability of the on-board systems and the readiness of the aircraft for departure. Airport services clean the cabin, and flight attendants check the readiness of each seat.

Before each flight, pilots carry out an external inspection of the aircraft: they check the units and components of the aircraft for damage, the engines for icing in the winter.

Airport shuttles bring passengers to the plane. The average daily passenger flow of S7 airlines is 22,600 people.

If the aircraft takes off in weather conditions that predispose to the formation of ice on the surfaces of the aircraft, it must be treated with a special anti-icing fluid.

All checks have been made and the plane is ready to take off. The crew has already conducted a pre-flight briefing, and the tractor is towing the liner onto the taxiway. The pilots start the engines and proceed to the starting point on the runway.

Tolmachevo - start, Siberia-174 on the executive, allow take-off? - Siberia-174, takeoff is allowed!

The engines of the aircraft are slowly filled with thrust, a pleasant rumble is heard throughout the cabin, and the liner rapidly begins its movement along the runway.

Landing at Vladivostok airport:

Vladivostok Airport "Knevichi" is a large regional hub of the company in the east of the country. The city is more than 9,000 km away from Moscow: traveling here by train will take a whole week!

Since 2010, S7 Airlines has been a full member of the Oneworld global aviation alliance. The alliance includes the world's largest airlines: AirBerlin, AmericanAirlines, BritishAirways, CathayPacific, Finnair, Iberia, JapanAirlines, LAN, MalaysiaAirlines, Qantas, RoyalJordanian, QatarAirways, as well as more than 20 affiliated carrier partners.

Mission Control Center. The technologies implemented in the S7 Airlines Flight Control Center allow real-time control of aircraft movement, ground handling process, obtaining data on the payload, the state of the liner’s resources, and taking measures to comply with the ship’s traffic schedule and perform scheduled flights:

On the control screens of employees, the schedule of aircraft movement for the current day with airports of departure and arrival is reflected.

Aviation Training Center "S7 Training" is the largest pilot and crew training center in Russia and Eastern Europe:

The center has several integrated flight simulators (Full Flight Simulator).

They are designed to train pilots for Airbus A320 and Boeing-737 aircraft.

The training complex for conducting emergency rescue training allows you to simulate various types of emergency situations that occur on board an aircraft:

Everyone knows about S7 Airlines (Siberia). But whose airline is S7 Airlines? What is the fleet of S7 aircraft? Where does the S7 fly? Many passengers using the services of this company and buying tickets from S7 do not think about it. Although this is very useful information.
